Chocolate Chip Loaf

The Fluffiest Loaf Filled with Chocolate

If you're craving a moist, fluffy dessert that satisfies your sweet tooth without compromising on your plant-based lifestyle, look no further than vegan chocolate chip loaf. This easy-to-make recipe combines rich chocolate chips with a soft, tender loaf that’s perfect for breakfast, snack time, or dessert.

Made with simple ingredients like plant-based milk, dairy-free butter, and flour, this vegan chocolate chip loaf is completely free from animal products, but still delivers all the flavor and texture you love. The chocolate chips melt into the batter, creating pockets of gooey chocolate in every bite. Whether you're vegan or just looking to reduce your dairy intake, this loaf is a crowd-pleaser.

Not only is this loaf dairy-free and egg-free, but it’s also a healthier alternative to traditional chocolate chip bread. Using coconut sugar and maple syrup adds natural sweetness.

This vegan chocolate chip loaf is easy to customize with your favorite mix-ins like nuts, dried fruit, or even a dash of cinnamon. Try it today and enjoy a delicious, guilt-free treat that everyone can indulge in!

There’s not much more I love than chocolate. This loaf is like a chocolate chip cookie but in bread form and it’s so delicious. Any chocolate lovers you must try.

To make it even extra chocolatey you can add chocolate frosting. This is optional but it really takes it to the next level. I always get countless questions about the frosting I use. Typically, I go the lazy way and don’t make frosting homemade. Almost all store’s bought frostings are vegan. Just make sure to always check the label. If you want a homemade frosting, there are tons of vegan frosting options online! You could also do a chocolate glaze with powdered sugar and cocoa powder.

The texture is by far the best part about this. Its ultra-fluffy. The chocolate chips just melt in your mouth. This is seriously one of my favorite recipes ever.

You can also add in other things besides chocolate chips. Oreos, sprinkles, fruits, nuts, literally anything would taste delicious in this recipe.

Vegan butter: any vegan butter will work. You could also try liquid oil. If you aren’t vegan, traditional butter should work.

Coconut sugar: I like to use coconut sugar as it is refined sugar free. Any granulated sugar will work such as monk fruit or white sugar.

Maple syrup: I used maple syrup in this recipe as it works well with the coconut sugar. Any liquid sweetener will work such as honey or agave.

Nondairy milk: I used unsweetened almond milk in this recipe. Any nondairy milk will work. If you aren’t vegan, traditional milk should also work.

All-purpose flour: I haven’t tested any other flours in this recipe.

Chocolate chips: any chocolate chips will work.

 Ingredients:

  • Applesauce

  • Vegan butter

  • Coconut sugar

  • Maple syrup

  • Nondairy milk

  • ¼ cup coconut sugar

  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup

  • ¼ cup nondairy milk

  • 2 teaspoons baking powder

  • 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup chocolate chips (can do more or less)

Directions:

1.    Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

2.    Line a loaf pan with parchment paper or cooking spray.

3.    To a small bowl melt the butter. Add the applesauce to a large bowl. Add in the butter, coconut sugar, maple syrup, and nondairy milk. Stir to combine.

4.    Add in the baking powder and all-purpose flour. Stir until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

5.    Transfer to the baking pan. Optional: top with more chocolate chips.

6.    Bake for 35-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Make sure to allow the loaf to completely cool before eating. I recommend storing it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. The loaf should last up to one week in the refrigerator. If you try this recipe, please let me know your thoughts, I’d love to hear!
